Description
Pebbles are semi-polished round bits of rock that have been smoothed by the constant movement of water over them. They are typically found near rivers or oceans and are made up of extremely hard particles of quartz, chert, silica, and other minerals. Rocks are also machine tumbled to create pebbles. Pebbles are rock fragments that are at least 5 mm in size. Rocks smaller than this is referred to as ‘grit’- also found inland from ancient dried up water bodies.
Pebbles coverage:
Extra-small and small pebbles 20mm to 40mm. You will need around 3x20kg bags (approximately 50 to 60kg) per square meter.
Medium pebbles 50mm to 65mm. You will require 4x20kg bags (approximately 70 to 80kg) per square meter.
Large and extra-large pebbles 70mm to 130mm. You will require between 5 and 6 20kg bags (90 to 120kg) per square meter.
Area Calculation:
To calculate the area you need to cover, measure the length and the width and multiply those figures together. Length x Width = m².
